Christmas Tree Carton Loading Case

A Christmas tree manufacturer is loading trucks in the warehouse, handling large cartons of trees that need to be continuously transferred between the warehouse and trailers.

The core demands are: first, convey goods directly from the warehouse to the truck loading position, reducing intermediate handling and re-gripping; second, the equipment can be stowed aside when not in use to minimize occupation of the loading area.

How the solution connects

The solution uses a multi-wedge belt powered roller conveyor as the straight-line transport section between the warehouse and the truck.

During operation, the equipment unfolds to connect the warehouse dispatch point with the truck loading area, allowing large cartons to move directly from the warehouse to the trailer entrance or interior. When not loading, the equipment is folded and moved aside to keep the loading corridor and workspace clear.

Workflow and manual coordination

Once loading begins, workers place the large carton-packed Christmas trees onto the roller conveyor as the feeding start point.

During conveyance, the roller line continually transports goods from the warehouse toward the truck entrance or interior, facilitating follow-up receiving, arranging, and stacking at the loading side.

After loading ends, the equipment is stowed and moved away to free up the warehouse loading area, preventing long-term obstruction of other operations.

Changes after use

The loading path shifted from being dominated by manual handling to being led by direct roller conveyance to the truck, making the transition from warehouse to trailer more direct.

Moreover, when not loading, the equipment can be folded aside, reducing the footprint of the warehouse loading area.
